2019
Denise Nicole Francis is a Sr. Product Designer for Salesforce. Her focus in user experience and visual design is applied daily to cognitive strategy design and visually communicating data to assist users in understanding using a very specific cloud based customer relationship management software platform. She also occasionally moonlights as as creative designer for India.Arie Inc., and formerly taught university students in graphic design fundamentals at Atlanta Technical College and LaGrange College as well as formerly served as a Product Designer for IBM at The Weather Company. She stays inspired by constructing creative content for social media platforms, travelling, and attempting to create gourmet meals from scratch. Denise holds a BS in Architecture and M.Arch from Florida A&M University, as well as a MFA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, all while maintaining special training in User Experience from General Assembly Atlanta.

Denise Nicole Francis is an Atlanta based Full Stack UX Designer with a background in Visual Design and Architecture. Her experiences gained from working in various environments with other creatives, have equipped her to perform most typical daily design requirements from her home studio or in most office settings.
She is known for contributing aesthetically pleasing and functional design to the world which is inspired by interacting with people. Francis claims that a good portion of her successes attribute keeping people at the heart of [her] designs. Her interests include most things designed, anything creative, and an obsession with her imagination. She is also inspired by her experiences from her Caribbean upbringing as well as all things dunked in good ethical reason.
Because design is important to all elements of life, Francis finds it mandatory to subscribe to the details of how information is understood and how humans move through experiences. Designing for social awareness gives the life of a designer balance and is important to her design philosophy. She loves to travel, meet new people, and is activated by adventure.
Francis also enjoys taking pictures and eating exotic fruits, cheeses, olives, and chocolates to stimulate the creative process. “I believe in chaos to balance order. I believe in truth as a vehicle for freedom. I believe in kindness as the path for change and innovation as a result of attention to the human condition.” Francis hopes to continue to contribute to the world of design by devoting creativity, imagination, and innovative passion to the universe.
One of Francis’ favorite quotes comes from the late, great Massimo Vignelli, “The life of a designer is a life of fight. Fight against the ugliness. Just like a doctor fights against disease. For us, the visual disease is what we have around, and what we try to do is cure it somehow with design.”
